Tarik Balik Gelaran Datuk Seri Anwar, Beri Kepada Ummi Hafilda

“31 Ogos 1998 sehari sebelum dipecat….Mahathir kata orang Melayu mudah lupa.

PKR’s got proof Umno using foreigners for votes

Tuesday, May 10, 2011

PETALING JAYA: PKR leaders claimed today they have proof that Umno is abusing government powers to give citizenship or permanent residency (PR) status to foreign workers for them to vote.

The alleged proof was a copy of a leaked Hulu Selangor Umno division letter addressed to Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein requesting for PR status approval.

Copies of the letter were distributed to the press by the party’s women chief, Zuraida Kamaruddin, who claimed that there are some 2,000 foreign workers in the Hulu Selangor parliamentary seat.

Barisan Nasional (BN) had recaptured the Hulu Selangor seat from PKR in a fiercely contested by-election last April. Its candidate, P Kamalanathan, defeated PKR’s Zaid Ibrahim with a convincing majority of 1,725 votes.

Zaid, who has since left PKR after a fallout with the party’s top leadership, claimed the result was rigged. The by-election became the turning point for BN which went on to win several more by-elections, including Batu Sapi in Sabah and Galas in PAS-held Kelantan.

The letter, dated March 23 this year, stated that the party has recognised “a list of potential individuals who could help ensure a BN victory in the Hulu Selangor parliamentary seat for the 13th general election”.

It had the signature of the Hulu Selangor Umno division chief, Idris Abu Bakar.

The letter further stated that it had the list of names although copies of the list were not presented by Zuraida.

“They (on the list) are individuals who are free from any criminal conviction, drug offence or any dangerous or deviant ideology.

“They are students and genuine entrepreneurs with good careers, who can collectively build the nation towards prosperity… and, at the same time, ensure BN victory in every election, in particular the 13th general election,” added the letter.

Najib wants Selangor by hook or by crook

Umno president and Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak had made it clear his intention to recapture Selangor, the nation’s most advanced state, by any means.

“We must not allow our image to continue to be besmirched… because of the defeat.

“We must bounce back with renewed determination to redeem ourselves,” the Umno president was quoted as saying.

Najib is currently the Selangor Umno chief but has recently placed full responsibility of recapturing the state on his deputy, Noh Omar, who is also Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister.

Zuraida, who Ampang MP, said the letter was the strongest proof yet of Umno-BN’s blatant abuse of power to maintain its grip on Putrajaya.

“It (the letter) is proof that BN is willing to use any weapon possible to recapture Selangor from Pakatan (Rakyat),” she said.

Decades of Umno rule have forced the Selangor Pakatan government to deal with a state civil service whose loyality is split. Zuraida believes that Umno is exploiting this but will not succeed.

“We want to send a message to Najib that the civil service is not necessarily with them (Umno-BN). People will not be fooled by their politics of fear… We have our supporters,” she said.

A police report will be lodged against Idris and Hishammuddin, she added.

PERKASA sokong Osama Dibunuh

Pertubuhan Pribumi Perkasa Malaysia (PERKASA) menyokong kenyataan perdana menteri Datuk Seri Najib Razak bahawa dunia kini lebih selamat selepas pemimpin Al-Qaeda Osama bin Laden dibunuh Amerika Syarikat.

Ketua Pendakwa SPRM Ajar Saksi Jawab Soalan

RCI: Ketua pendakwa bimbing saksi jawab soalan?

Buran semacam jer. Nak menang ke nak kalah?

‘Malays don’t need Umno’

Monday, May 9, 2011

Why would the Chinese give up their freedom to pursue their self-interest for ‘interferences’? The great advances achieved by the Chinese as a whole happened when there was least ‘interference’ from the government and its little and not so Little Napoleons.

Let me give you some examples. Every town and city in Malaysia displays the same characteristics. I am most familiar with my hometown, Kuantan and Kuala Lumpur. In Kuantan you have a section of town dominated by Chinese (Ayer Puteh) and in Kuala Lumpur you have (Old Klang Road).

In my schooldays, these two areas were and are still dominated by the Chinese. Both these areas enjoyed least attention from the government in the past.

If you visit Ayer Puteh in Kuantan today, you will be almost convinced that it’s a city in itself. Ayer Puteh developed on its own, on account of the vibrancy of the people pursing their economic interests with the least interference and meddling from government. It has achieved this status with lesser interference from government.

In Kuala Lumpur, the Old Klang Road area has developed into a commercial behemoth that it’s almost fair to say, it has developed a parallel economy rivaling what the official government can do. And Old Klang Road has achieved that without the excessive interference of government.

In other words, it’s absolutely hogwash to say, we depend on the government for our livelihood.

Cocky Umno

Now lets look at the Malays. We have millions of Malays in rural areas who can do better if they have what? They can do better if they have capital, accessibility, education and technical skills. Now this is truth.

Malays need capital (capitalism), they need accessibility (freedom) they need education (self-interest). None of these are in any way synonymous with Umno.

Let me repeat this statement. The Malays need capital (yes), they need freedom (yes) and they need to pursue their self-interests? Now tell me, if I were to purse this extreme logic, do the Malays need Umno?

They don’t because their advancement is not absolutely dependent on whether it’s Umno that provides capital, freedom and creates the environment that enable them each to purse their self-interests.

So when former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad says the Malays need help, where does it say in the world, that that HELP comes in the form of Umno?

So before Umno goes to the polls, I hope they get rid of this cockiness and self-conceit that the people need us. They don’t.

Ku Nan: Anwar is the ‘pandi kutti’, not my PM

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno secretary-general Tengku Adnan Mansor criticised Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim for allegedly calling Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak “pandi kutti”, a Tamil description of a piglet. He said it was typical of the opposition to resort to name calling.

“Why must he use the word pandi kutti… he is the pandi kutti. Not my prime minister. I am very upset with such statements,” he told a press conference at Umno’s headquarters here.

Anwar has allegedly made the offensive remark at a ceramah in Klang yesterday.

Adnan said Umno would not demand an apology from Anwar over his remark, adding that the ruling Malay party was against smear tactics.

The opposition leader, however, has embarked on a crusade to counter what he believed to be a concerted campaign by his political rivals in Umno to tarnish his name.

Anwar has been implicated in a sex video scandal involving a man said to resemble him having sex with a woman of Eastern Asian features. He has vehemently denied the allegation.

Anwar is also facing his second sodomy trial in 10 years. He has been charged with sodomising his former aide, Saiful Bukhari Azlan, a charge he openly claimed was trumped up by Najib and his wife, Rosmah Mansor, in a bid to kill his political career.

Adnan said that Anwar’s name calling methods were used to divert attention and cover up the allegations against him.

He added that Umno would not resort to such tactics.

“We know more about him than he knows about us… but we won’t play such dirty tactics.”

Citing the recently concluded Singaporean general election, Adnan said the political leaders there had abstained from smear tactics and fought only ideological battles.

“They only fight on issues. No one called people names there,” he said.
